On May 6th 2022, SpaceX launched the Starlink 4-17 mission at just the right time before sunrise to create the “Space Jellyfish.” This is the exhaust plume from the second stage being illuminated from by the sun, which is still below the horizon.

This photograph was taken at the St. Pete Pier, about 135 miles from launch pad.
